Duties & Qualifications

A local, established disability service provider is calling for expressions of interest for the role of Disability Support Worker across all our program areas in the Northern Tasmanian region.

Community Access - The Support Worker works across our Community Access programs operating during the day Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00am to 3:15pm, with potential after hour shifts offered within our social program space offered on an ad-hoc basis.

We are looking for candidates with a diverse range of experience supporting people with a disability including children and young people. This may include working with clients with a disability, trauma-based behaviours, residential care setting, education and/or experience in the aged care sector.

A National Criminal History Background Check no older than 6 months.

Australian Drivers Licence.HLTAID011 or HLTAID003 Current First Aid Certificate.HLTHSP006 Assist clients with medication.

HLTAAP001 Recognise healthy body systems.

NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and YouHold a minimum of Certificate 3 in community services / or a similar qualification;
