Truck Driver – Furniture Removalist (HR/HC )

Duties

Pack, load, unload household furniture & effects, including pianos (grand & upright) in accordance with accepted practices and procedures.Drive articulated and rigid trucks in accordance with road safety regulations and road transport requirements.Complete as required all paperwork involved in furniture removals.Receive money from clients and receipt as required, ensuring the security of cash and cheques.Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the assigned vehicle. This is to include a daily check of the vehicle (including any trailer and/or container), including but not limited to, oil, brakes, tyres, lights etc. and report defects on the daily run sheet and arrange repairs in consultation with the Operations Manager.
