Duties
Follow the leadership of our Head Chef in all kitchen operations
Support the Head Chef through ideas and contributions to food and beverage concepts and menus
Prepare and plate in accordance with our evolving menu, consistently meeting high standards in quality and presentation
Compliance with daily food preparation schedules to ensure effective production
Daily set up and stocking of kitchen stations with necessary ingredients and supplies
Daily pack-down and clean-up of kitchen stations
Support the appropriate receiving, storage and rotation of food and ingredients
Correct best-practice usage of kitchen equipment
Support and comply with all aspects of OH&S compliance within the kitchen
Foster strong working relationships with front of house staff and kitchen staff
Casual position with flexible days and hours, working around four-week roster blocks
Daytime trading and work hours 7am–5pm, long shifts available, no split shifts
Transition to full-time permanent for the right candidate
Skills
Proven experience in a high-volume kitchen operation
Exceptional organisation skills
High attention to detail and pride in work
Appropriate and professional presentation at all times
Excellent communication skills
