Duties

  • Follow the leadership of our Head Chef in all kitchen operations

  • Support the Head Chef through ideas and contributions to food and beverage concepts and menus

  • Prepare and plate in accordance with our evolving menu, consistently meeting high standards in quality and presentation

  • Compliance with daily food preparation schedules to ensure effective production

  • Daily set up and stocking of kitchen stations with necessary ingredients and supplies

  • Daily pack-down and clean-up of kitchen stations

  • Support the appropriate receiving, storage and rotation of food and ingredients

  • Correct best-practice usage of kitchen equipment

  • Support and comply with all aspects of OH&S compliance within the kitchen

  • Foster strong working relationships with front of house staff and kitchen staff

  • Casual position with flexible days and hours, working around four-week roster blocks

    Daytime trading and work hours 7am–5pm, long shifts available, no split shifts

  • Transition to full-time permanent for the right candidate

  • Proven experience in a high-volume kitchen operation

  • Exceptional organisation skills

  • High attention to detail and pride in work

  • Appropriate and professional presentation at all times

  • Excellent communication skills
