Fitter – Casual or Full-Time

Duties/Skills 

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fixed and rotating plant equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

Overhaul, align, and install pumps, gearboxes, valves, and piping systems.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

Operate tools and lifting equipment safely and maintain accurate job records.

Collaborate with other trades to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.

Participate in safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organised workspace.

Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner (Cert III or equivalent).

Experience in heavy industry (smelting, mining, manufacturing, or processing)
